My predecessors named me Twan, so that is how I usually call myself as well. I am a homo sapien born on planet earth about 4.550.001.984 years after it got formed. To survive, I make websites for other homo sapiens.

“Who is Twan Roubroeks?” isn’t an easy question to answer. I could write down a hundred different stories here. To give you the perfect story that resonates with you, I would first need to know more about you.
Yes. I would need to know much more about You. My Target Reader. Once I know everything about you (what makes you laugh, anxious, excited, sad, but most of all: what makes you like and share things).
I would need to know your age, your gender, your location, your interests, your sexual preferences, your favourite holiday destinations, the events you usually go to, the products you usually buy, the things you mention on your LinkedIn profile, all your Facebook posts, the specifics of your love life (and your secret love life), your current and past emotional states, the values you live by, your dreams and your thoughts.
And more. I would need to sit besides you and look at what you are doing and how you are feeling all day long every day for several years. And with all that information, all that data, I would create the perfect profile.
With that, I would use subtle secret psycho-analytical methods, and I would give you the perfect story of Who Twan Roubroeks is. And you would eat that story like strawberry pudding. You would give it a massive thumbs up, comment on it, share it, save it, share it again, read it again, like it more, laugh and marvel at it, share it once more, read it again, and remember it forever. It’ll be the best content you’ve ever read in your life. It’ll be your favorite #1 piece of content of all times. Who Is Twan Roubroeks? You’ll now never have to ask yourself again.
This is, in essence, how targeted online content marketing actually works.
Well, Don’t worry. I won’t target you. I won’t split test you. I won’t convert you. I won’t group you. I won’t throw you down a deep funnel after knowing your deepest secrets.
If you have no idea what I’m talking about, I invite you to read this other post. For those who do know what I’m saying, I guess when browsing online you sometimes feel like one of those disks that people shoot at during clay pigeon shootings. But then an online version of it. Well not here. Not on this blog. Not under my watch!

Well, then,… who is Twan Roubroeks?
Oh by the way if you are already bored by now and not interested anymore in who Twan Roubroeks is, but instead you’d like to know something else, like how far I’ve traveled across the galaxy since his birth, click here.
My Personal Answer
The first concepts that come to my mind when considering the question ‘Who am I?’ are my personality and my character. Personality essentially consists more of superficial traits which are easier to notice, while character traits are more deeply rooted and only visible after knowing someone for a longer period. You’re lucky, because even though you may not know me at all, I’m going to unravel both my personality and my character to you here. So lucky…….
Personality. I think that most people who meet me would see an extrovert, energetic, humorous, independent, liberal, passionate, persuasive person. In comparison to someone who would be more peaceful, introvert, reserved, moderate, calm or agreeable. You will probably notice those things about me the first time we hang out for a full day or so. Although I have the feeling that while growing older my personality changes, I’ve learned (thanks Google) that personality traits are more or less immutable and you have them for life. We inherit them from our parents (thanks mom and dad!). Weird stuff! Genetics.
Character. Character traits, however, are relatively malleable and more based on beliefs. That doesn’t mean it’s easy to change your character. Because it’s not easy to change what you believe. But surely moving to another country with a vast different culture (and staying there for a decent amount of time) might be enough to slap your character in the face and make you think twice about your beliefs. I would describe my character as being honest, hard working, rebellious, generous, optimistic, patient, understanding, caring, ambitious, and dedicated. This might sound like a list of only positive traits. However, it’s those same traits that got me in trouble in life over and over again. When something just doesn’t turn out to work, being dedicated can be a waste of time. When doing business, being honest sometimes means losing the deal. When being optimistic, you may underestimate the risks.

So in that sense Google was right (#love). Personality isn’t easy to change. On average I’ll always be energetic (thanks mom) and humorous (thanks dad) during a friendly meetup. But my Character is changing over the years. I’ve learned to be more patient and understanding because of my time in China, for example. China has taught me more than just being patient. Soon I will publish a post about my life in China.
The Physiological Answer
Physics. Chemistry. Gotta love it. Who is Twan Roubroeks? So frankly speaking I’m made of the same stuff that our sun and all other stars in the universe are made of. For about 97% I am made of the exact same kind of atoms and elements as the stars are whom we see on a clear night sky. And as you might know, stars are part of of galaxies, and galaxies (just like our own milky way) have a center with a black hole in the middle. This is where most action goes on. The core of galaxies. And the closer we look at the core (center) of galaxies, the more we find the exact same elements that are inside our own human body. Isn’t that just totally wonderful and satisfying? We literally are the universe. Knowing this always gives me a comforting feeling. Because it makes me feel we are truly one with everything around us, and we’re all in this together (we as in all molecules and atoms). Our consciousness may play tricks on us (and make us ponder questions like: “Who am I and why do I exist?”) but the physiological answer is rather simple. We are essentially plain stardust that got blown into existence just like the universe as a whole. Nothing more, nothing less.
So what actually is it? What am I made of? A quick Google search on “Who Is Twan Roubroeks Physically?” shows that for over 99% Twan Roubroeks is made out of oxygen, carbon, hydrogen, nitrogen, calcium, and phosphorus. The remaining 1% of Twan consist of potassium, sulfur, sodium, chlorine, and magnesium. In fact, Twan needs all these 11 components to be alive and build websites. Without one of them, the websites he wouldn’t be the same. Perhaps, the ‘about’ section would be missing.
